Join us for a guided hike down Marble Creek!
This optional adventure will take Scouts on a guided hike down Marble Creek. Prepare to get a little wet — the creek doesn't typically get deeper than knee-height, but come dressed and ready for a wet, slightly slick environment.
Kentucky's geology and geography are full of hidden treasures, and Marble Creek is one of Jessamine County's best! This hike winds through a limestone gorge shaped by centuries of running water. Scouts will get to see native Kentucky plants and wildlife up close, and keep an eye out for the dry-laid limestone walls built generations ago that still line parts of the property today.
Fun Fact!
Daniel Boone once surveyed land in the area, and the creek's watershed holds several sites significant enough to be eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. Come explore a piece of Kentucky's natural and pioneer history — creek shoes required!

What to Wear
Scouts should wear their Class B uniform for visibility. Choose shoes suitable for wet and slightly slick terrain — no open-toed shoes or anything you're not okay getting soaked.
