Pack 73 will be placing flags with the Central Kentucky Veterans Committee at Camp Nelson to honor America’s fallen on Memorial Day.

📍 Morning: Flag Placement at Camp Nelson National Cemetery

• Arrival Time: Please arrive by 8:45 AM

• Program Begins: 9:00 AM sharp @ the Flag Pole

• Uniform: Full Class-A uniforms required

• Wrap-Up: Around 10:30 AM

• Optional Lunch: VFW will provide hot dogs, soda, and chips for volunteers

✈️ Afternoon: Fly-In & BBQ at Greenfields Farm

After the flag placement, we’ll caravan as a group to Greenfields Farm for the Memorial Day Fly-In—a family-friendly gathering with vintage airplanes, classic cars, and a barbecue lunch.

  5660 Old Richmond Rd
  Park in the grass near the Dog House shelter

• What to Expect:

  • Watch vintage planes land at Silo Field

  • Explore the airfield and enjoy the sights

  • Walk to the opposite end of the runway for a BBQ picnic

  • If you can’t attend the Fly-In, you're welcome to stay and enjoy lunch at Camp Nelson.

Don’t forget sunscreen, water bottles, and respectful behavior while at the cemetery.
